I’ve said this before, but it’s worth repeating:

It's the beginning of your child's story.  These portraits will show them the love story that helped make and shape them.  They show your child how excited you were waiting for their arrival.  They become heirlooms with stunning images of how young Mom and Dad were.  In the end, these portraits are for our children.

I offer maternity sessions in Nashville and Clarksville, and beyond. This session is an intimate in-home maternity session. Using downtown locations, especially cute downtowns like Clarksville or Franklin are also an ideal backdrop for a maternity session. You can see a downtown maternity session in Clarksville here. This couple wanted to document their pregnancy in their home since they were moving in a couple of weeks and they know the baby would be born in a different house.

If you like variety, I would recommend a downtown maternity session for families or couples, and the newborn session at home. I will very rarely ask you to look at me. I don’t want to be a part of your maternity memory! I want your photos to feel like you, to imbue a sense of nostalgia of these pregnant days of you starting your family.

This is a good time to mention that a few of my clients have had the cutest dresses for their maternity sessions and they told me they bought them at The Copper Petal in Clarksville. The “what to wear” decision really depends on you! If you’re comfortable in a dress, then that’s best! If you’re a jeans gal, go for it! There’s a way to wear your favorite style and show up looking perfect for your session! My goal is that 2, 5, 10, 30 years from now, when you look at these photos of your pregnant self, you love them and don’t feel uncomfortable in your fashion choice.
